Hengya Cement (Tanzania) Co., Ltd.
Hengya Cement (Tanzania) Co., Ltd. is the first overseas wholly-owned subsidiary established by Hengyuan International Engineering Group Co., Ltd. in Africa. Positively responding to “The Belt and Road Initiative” and the “Go Global” strategy, Hengyuan Group settled in Tanzania in 2014 to invest in competitive industries by taking advantage of its own strengths and Tanzania's market demand.
Considering the resource and market conditions of Tanzania, the project plans to invest USD 530 million, including the construction of a new dry-process clinker & cement production line with a daily output of 7,500 tons, 2*25MW supporting captive power plant and 12MW waste heat recovery power generation and supporting communal and domestic facilities. The project is located in Tanga City, the second largest port city in Tanzania. As the economic center of Tanzania, Tanga is 330 kilometers away from Dar-es-Salaam. The plant covers an area of 1700 mu (113.3 hectares) and a raw material quarry of 5.5 square kilometers that can be mined for 50 years. After the production line is put into operation, various types of high-quality cement will be produced, which can promote the development of local cement market and bring good economic and social benefits.
