The Cuban delegation visited the Gansu Hengya Cement Plant in early June for an inspection and visit.

It is reported that the visit of the Cuban delegation is mainly for the construction of several large-scale cement projects in the local area. As is known to all, due to the economic blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States for decades, the people had many difficulties in maintaining their lives. In recent years, with the changes in the political landscape of Cuba and the gradual opening up of mind, building the domestic economy has become the primary problem for the Cuban government. Economic construction is inseparable from domestic infrastructure, and a large number of domestic infrastructure projects in Cuba have emerged. The demand for cement in Cuba will gradually increase in the future. Therefore, the delegation’s visit to and study at the Hengya Cement Plant is of great significance.

Hengya Cement Factory has been the focus of attention from all walks of life since it went into production, and it is also a high-quality diplomatic card for the Group. The Cuban delegation finally arrived at Dunhuang Airport after more than 30 hours flight. In order to express their warm welcome to the delegation, the group leaders rushed from the headquarters to Gansu to meet. The warm reception of the leaders swept away the exhaustion of the members of the delegation. After a short break, the guests started the visit to Hengya Cement plant.

Hengya Cement Plant has two 3,000-ton cement production lines with 4.5MW of pure low-temperature waste heat power generation, with an annual output of 2 million tons of cement. The company adopts advanced new dry pre-decomposition production technology, and the main equipment was designed and developed by Hengyuan; the quality control adopts the world's advanced X-ray fluorescence analyzer online detection technology. In addition, the factory has a complete quality management system and the internal audit mechanism, which fully guaranteed the stability of product quality control.

The Cuban delegation carefully visited the entire Hengya Cement plant, including various cement production workshops, waste heat power generation systems, central control rooms, and laboratories. They highly agreed the production data, energy consumption and emission indicators of Hengya Cement. The members of the delegation have shown great praise to Hengya throughout the visit. After the visit, the Cuban delegation held talks with the company's senior leaders. The leaders gave a detailed account of the operations of the Hengya Cement Plant in various aspects since its commissioning and the achievements it has made in the past. The delegates nodded frequently during the meeting and affirmed the success of Hengya in the past. After the formal talks between the two sides, Hengya Cement Factory prepared a special lunch in Gansu for the guests coming from afar. The guests not only experienced the elegant of Hengya Cement, but also praised the food of Gansu.

The Cuban delegates later said that they were impressed by Hengya, not only surprised by the scale of construction of Hengya, but also convinced by the scientific management of Hengya and the beautiful environment. In their impression, the cement factories in their own countries were often very small in scale, and Hengya is a great garden for them. Being able to get such a high evaluation from foreign guests is inseparable from the hard work of every employee of Hengya Cement Factory. I hope that in the future Hengya will not only be the pride of the group, but also become the benchmark for the entire Chinese cement production enterprises!
